Weekend Bothy Trip

With Peanmeanach bothy turning from an MBA bothy to a private bothy this summer, it has allowed us the opportunity to book out the bothy to use as a base for weekend kayak trips. In early July we ran our inaugural kayak bothy trip with a group of 4.

After paddling round to the bothy, an evening of eating local seafood, dropped off by our support boat earlier on in the day, and sitting drinking whisky by the fire was a great way to end the first day of the trip. The following day the group had a full day of paddling before heading back to the bothy for an early supper before heading back out for a short sunset paddle.

The final day was spent kayaking to the pub for lunch, and then a leisurely paddle back round to the first days’ meeting point.
